Job Description

Job Title: Senior Change Management Practitioner
Location: Markham (4x per week on-site)
Job Type: Contract (12 months to start)

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Change Manager to lead initiative-level change strategy and execution across current and 2027 transformation portfolios. This role translates complex project and enterprise changes into actionable readiness and adoption plans for leaders, corporate teams, and a distributed services field workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Change Strategy & Impact Assessment: Conduct detailed impact assessments across roles, processes, tools, and behaviors. Develop tailored change strategies, risk mitigations, and adoption measures aligned with delivery timelines.
  • Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement: Equipping sponsors, field management, and leaders with talking points, decision frameworks, and reinforcement tools. Facilitate working sessions to address operational impacts and resistance early.
  • Communications & Training Integration: Design audience-specific communication plans for corporate and distributed frontline staff. Partner with training leads to define learning needs, delivery methods, job aids, and supervisor briefings.
  • Readiness, Adoption & Sustainment: Assess go-live readiness (process, systems, training, support). Monitor adoption metrics, support hypercare/stabilization, and establish long-term sustainment plans for business-as-usual (BAU) transition.
  • Operational Sensitivity: Adapt methodologies to fit the practical realities of a distributed, mobile workforce (field technicians, dispatch, branch operations) while accounting for seasonal demand, safety, and customer-facing impacts.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of organizational change management experience in complex transformation environments.
  • Proven ownership of change strategy and execution across significant technology and process initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder and change-impact assessment, business readiness, and adoption planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption across large stakeholder populations, including frontline and corporate teams, with clear evidence of personal contribution and outcomes.
  • Strong leadership presence, judgment, facilitation, and the ability to constructively challenge delivery teams and operate with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in field/service organizations, contact centres, enterprise technology implementations, or large-scale process transformation is highly desirable.
  • Prosci, ADKAR, ACMP, or equivalent methodology experience is an asset; practical change leadership and adoption experience are the priority.
