Job Description

Job Title: QA Analyst
Location: Bolton (3x per week on-site)
Job Type: Full-time salaried

We are seeking a Junior/Intermediate QA Analyst on behalf of our client. In this role you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our client’s flagship platform, through hands-on functional testing and a growing contribution to test automation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to broaden their skills across manual testing, Playwright-based automation, and light database work in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on the Modern platform across new features and bug fixes.
  • Write clear, well-organized test cases and document defects with detailed, reproducible steps.
  • Contribute to our automated test suite by creating and maintaining end-to-end tests using Playwright, with support and code review from the team.
  • Verify data and results directly in the database using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) when testing requires it.
  • Perform small, straightforward database updates and queries to set up test conditions or validate expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and confirm fixes.
  • Participate in release verification and help maintain quality standards across each deployment.
  • Track and report on testing progress, defects, and overall product quality.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a software QA or testing role (co-op, internship, or related hands-on experience considered).
  • Solid understanding of QA fundamentals: test case design, regression testing, and the defect lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and comfort using SSMS for basic queries and simple data updates.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
  • Able to work on a hybrid schedule based out of our Bolton, Ontario office.
  • Exposure to test automation, ideally with Playwright (or a similar framework such as Cypress or Selenium).
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how modern web applications are structured.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and working in an agile/Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools.
  • A genuine interest in growing toward a more automation-focused QA role over time.
