Job Description

Our client, a Canadian family-owned bakery, is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their team.

This is a long-term opportunity through our agency for an experienced electrician who wants to build a career in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
• Install, inspect, replace, and repair industrial electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cables, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboards, meters, regulators, and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
• Support reliable operation of equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman experience or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, and working around industrial equipment.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, or other food-processing environments is highly preferred.
