Our client, a prominent and growing organization, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead their financial operations.
This leadership role is responsible for directing the daily operations, strategic goals, and action plans of the accounting department. Working in close alignment with the Director of Finance & Accounting, the successful candidate will oversee financial execution, implement strong internal controls, and cultivate a high-performing team to support the company’s business objectives.
Accounting Oversight: Supervise all daily accounting functions, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing cycles, and the preparation of accurate financial statements.
Financial Controls: Review and authorize bank reconciliations, subledgers (AP/AR/Cash Book), daily expenditures, and variance analyses.
Corporate Reporting & Planning: Manage the completion of corporate financial consolidation packages to headquarters within strict timelines. Facilitate the creation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Incentive Tracking: Assist in the design, execution, and calculation of corporate bonus structures and sales commission programs to ensure accurate payouts.
Compliance & Auditing: Maintain adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards, establish internal safeguards, coordinate with internal/external auditors, and monitor regulatory shifts to minimize corporate risk.
Operational Finance: Monitor fixed asset depreciation, track capital expenditures, review procurement bids, and oversee commercial business insurance coverages.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop accounting staff, conduct performance reviews, manage hiring, and oversee department time and attendance tracking within automated payroll systems.
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Fully designated CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) or an active candidate in the final stages of the program.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial or accounting management capacity.
At least 7 years of proven success leading, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
Deep knowledge of accounting frameworks, standards, and corporate regulations (GAAP, IFRS).
Strong commercial acumen with experience executing departmental strategic plans.
Advanced analytical and mathematical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proficient with ERP systems (SAP-B1 or similar accounting software) and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
Top-tier communication skills, with experience presenting complex financial data to executive leadership and staff.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a talent for translating complex financial metrics for non-finance team members.
