Our client is an established and growing distributor of specialized mechanical equipment. They are seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE role and an excellent long-term, career opportunity.

Position Overview

In this role, you will provide critical inside support to an active sales team and the Sales Director. This position focuses on collaborating on technical quotations, processing incoming orders, and nurturing key customer and supplier relationships through consistent, supportive follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborative Quoting: Partner with the sales team to help prepare, organize, and coordinate technical and commercial proposals.
• Relationship & Vendor Follow-Up: Maintain clear lines of communication and proactively follow up with both customers and suppliers regarding quote updates, order statuses, and part deliveries.
• Order Management: Accurately process and input incoming customer orders into the internal system, ensuring seamless coordination of pricing and delivery details.
• Inquiry Coordination: Welcomingly handle incoming inquiries and connect customers with internal engineering resources for advanced technical questions.
• Account Administration: Gather technical data from vendors, compile invoice documentation, and support order close-outs.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in inside sales, sales coordination, or customer support within an industrial or distribution setting.
• Technical Aptitude: Some exposure to technical, mechanical, or electrical concepts is preferred, with an openness and ability to understand basic engineering ideas.
• Continuous Learning: A naturally curious and fast learner who enjoys building product knowledge and understanding system pricing.
• Communication & Connection: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a supportive, professional approach to customer care.
