Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Hybrid Markham (1-2x per week on-site)

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of high-priority digital signage, network deployments, and technology installations. Operating within complex construction and renovation environments, you will drive multiple long-term programs from initial design through to final handover. You will act as a strategic lead, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that align with client requirements and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Lead the full lifecycle of complex digital and network installation projects, from kickoff and technical design to site mobilization and service transition.
- Strategic Planning: Translate technical specifications into actionable project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct diverse teams (Engineering, IT, Production, Construction) and manage external partners to ensure operational alignment and high-quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for sponsors and clients, providing transparent reporting on project health, milestones, and deliverables.
- Risk & Governance: Proactively identify project risks and dependencies while maintaining rigorous documentation for scope, budgets, and change requests.
- Deployment Oversight: Oversee site readiness and installation activities, managing multiple high-complexity projects concurrently in an evolving environment.
Qualifications
- 7+ Years of experience as a Project Manager.
- 5+ Years of experience leading complex IT hardware deployments (POS, network infrastructure) or digital signage rollouts.
- Degree in computer science, business administration or a related discipline.
- PMP designation is an asset.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, permits, licensing, and construction best practices.
- Expert in interpreting technical design packages and translating them into executable project plans utilizing MS Project, Excel, Visio, etc.
- Proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to evaluation, while concurrently handling multiple high-pressure projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in risk mitigation, conflict resolution, and change control, backed by sound judgment and an adaptable mindset.
- Highly collaborative with a customer-service orientation and a commitment to fostering a positive, innovative team culture.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for corporate travel.
