Job Description
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst with a decade of expertise in bridging the gap between complex financial operations and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to their Finance and Engineering teams, leading complex system enhancements. You will be the subject matter expert for their financial ecosystem, specifically focusing on billing lifecycles and revenue recognition workflows. Responsibilities
- Lead System Transformations: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of financial system migrations and implementations (ERP, Billing, or Revenue Management tools).
- Workflow Optimization: Analyze and document complex "As-Is" vs. "To-Be" processes, specifically focusing on automated billing, invoicing, and revenue module integration.
- Requirements Engineering: Elicit, analyze, and document high-quality functional and technical requirements. Create detailed BRDs, FRDs, and User Stories that account for GAAP/IFRS compliance.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary translator between the Finance/Accounting departments (CFO's office) and the IT/Software Engineering teams.
- Data Integrity & Testing: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data validation efforts to ensure financial accuracy during system cutovers.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with architects to design scalable system enhancements that support new product launches and complex pricing models.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with at least 7 years dedicated to financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, or Zuora).
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) and Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles.
- Technical Proficiency: Nice-to-have SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with API integrations between billing platforms and GL modules.
- Proficiency in ADO, and process mapping tools (Visio/Lucidchart).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to financial stakeholders and financial logic (like deferred revenue or multi-element arrangements) to developers.
- Project Leadership: Proven track record of managing large-scale data migrations with zero impact on month-end close cycles.
