Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end full cycle accounting process, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with ASPE.
• Lead the timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close of the general ledger.
• Oversee and record accruals, prepayments, and adjusting journal entries.
• Manage revenue recognition activities to ensure compliance.
• Own fixed asset accounting, including maintaining depreciation schedules, tracking additions/dispositions, and conducting periodic audits.
• Perform reviews of AP and AR aging reports, identifying delinquent accounts or payment discrepancies and coordinating with teams for resolution
• Prepare comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations supported by detailed schedules to ensure account integrity.
• Monitor cash balances daily to ensure adequate liquidity and support cash flow forecasting.
• Review employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for audit support coordination, preparing PBC schedules and explaining variances to external auditors.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the VP of Finance as required, including financial analysis, special projects, and board-level reporting.
• Design and implement process improvements and automation tools to reduce manual entry and shorten the close cycle.
• Maintain and update internal control documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness. 

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.

• Experience: 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in audit coordination and full cycle reporting. Xero accounting software experience is a plus.
