Job Description

Our client, a leading company, is seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join their production team.
This role is responsible for preparing, finishing, and painting surfaces using professional spray equipment while ensuring quality standards and safety procedures are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and smooth surfaces prior to painting to ensure proper finish quality
  • Apply coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes based on project specification
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
  • Monitor and manage paint and materials inventory for scheduled production jobs
  • Communicate any production issues or material shortages to the supervisor
  • Operate painting equipment and tools in accordance with established safety guidelines
  • Assist with additional tasks within the fabrication department as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of spray painting experience
  • Experience working with Akzo-Nobel or similar industrial paint systems is highly desirable
  • Automotive painting is a must
  • Strong ability to mix paints and accurately match colours
  • Familiarity with painting tools, materials, and safety practices in an industrial environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
