Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Duration: 6 months to start (strong chance of extension)

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst for a high-impact, 6-month contract. This role is critical for an organization currently navigating a complex vendor relationship involving two core applications. You will be the bridge between technical specifications, employee use cases, and executive-level strategy. The ideal candidate possesses over 10 years of experience, bringing a level of professional maturity that allows them to negotiate with vendors and brief executives with absolute confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Gap Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing vendor contract against actual employee use cases to identify functional and service gaps.
• End-to-End Documentation: Author highly detailed business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, and user stories.
• Process Engineering: Create intricate "As-Is" and "To-Be" process maps and data flows to visualize the current state versus the optimized future state.
• Vendor Liaison & Negotiation: Act as the primary point of contact for the vendor, participating in high-stakes negotiations to ensure contract alignment with organizational needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage and influence stakeholders at the Executive and VP levels, providing clear, data-driven insights and progress reports.

Experience:

• 10+ Years of BA Experience: A proven track record in senior-level business analysis is mandatory. We need a professional who can "hit the ground running" without hand-holding.
• Small to Mid-Sized Agility: Experience working in small to mid-sized environments where you are expected to be hands-on with all levels of documentation.
• Expert Documentation: Mastery of process mapping tools and requirement management frameworks.
• A Negotiator Mindset: Ability to speak with authority when dealing with third-party vendors, ensuring the organization’s interests are protected.
• Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical gaps into concise executive summaries.
