Our client, a recognized industry leader in sustainable manufacturing is seeking a Fiberline Process Specialist (Chemical Engineer) to join their high-performing technical operations team. As the Fiberline Process Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting fiberline operations, optimizing production processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the pulp production cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for fiberline operations, including digester, brownstock washing, screening, bleaching, and chemical recovery.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to improve process stability, quality, and production efficiency.
  • Support process troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain performance targets.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in optimizing chemical usage, fiber yield, and overall mill performance.
  • Participate in projects related to process upgrades, equipment improvements, and new technology implementation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical training and support to operators and production staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in pulp & paper, fiberline operations, chemical processing, or heavy industrial manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Pulp & Paper Supervisory and/or Management experience is required
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and process-optimization skills.
  • Ability to interpret process data, implement improvements, and support operational decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
