Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Remote (ad-hoc travel to Cambridge)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support our client's critical WMS project within the Logistics industry. This role is highly focused on stakeholder engagement, documentation of current processes, and translating operational details into structured project artifacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Facilitation: Proactively schedule, coordinate, and facilitate detailed discovery and requirements workshops with internal business teams and external customers.
  • As-Is Documentation & SOPs: Take ownership of documenting the current "as-is" environment, capturing processes, and creating clear, detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in preparation for the "to-be" design phase.
  • Detailed Requirements: Develop well-defined and measurable user stories and their corresponding acceptance criteria for WMS functionalities, ensuring traceability back to the core business needs.
  • Fit-Gap Support: Assist the Senior BA in performing initial fit/gap analysis by providing accurate, validated process documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison, scheduling meetings, managing follow-ups, and ensuring effective communication between business stakeholders, customers, and the WMS vendor.
  • Data Validation Support: Execute and support specific tasks related to data validation (e.g., testing data extracts, comparing source/target data) to ensure accuracy during WMS migration/implementation phases.
  • Project Artifacts: Manage and maintain the repository of all requirements, process maps, and SOP documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience within the Logistics and/or Supply Chain domain.
  • Direct experience supporting at least one WMS project (implementation, migration, or large-scale enhancement).
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor and stakeholder management, including scheduling and facilitating business meetings.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
