Job Description

In-office: 4x per week on-site in Markham
Contract: 6 months to start with strong chance of extension

 About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lead/Senior Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing end-to-end marketing solutions within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform. You will play a critical role in building complex data models, defining automation workflows, and architecting integrations with other systems, including Salesforce and various platforms.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture: Lead the design and development of scalable and robust marketing solutions within SFMC. This includes defining data models, creating automation workflows (e.g., using Automation Studio and Journey Builder), and establishing best practices for platform usage.
  • Technical Development: Write, test, and debug code using various languages and tools specific to SFMC, including AMPscript, SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript), and HTML/CSS for email and landing page development.
  • Data Management: Design and implement complex data models within SFMC, including Data Extensions and synchronized data sources. Ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
  • System Integration: Architect and develop integrations between SFMC and other systems, such as Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and external platforms, using various APIs and connectors.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve technical issues within SFMC campaigns and automations. Optimize existing solutions for performance and efficiency.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members. Act as a subject matter expert on SFMC development best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing managers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all developed solutions.

 Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud developer, with a strong portfolio of implemented solutions.
  • Expert-level knowledge of AMPscript and SSJS for building dynamic and personalized content.
  • Deep understanding of SFMC data model architecture, including Data Extensions, Contact Builder, and various data relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with SFMC tools such as Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and CloudPages.
  • Experience with API integrations (REST and SOAP) to connect SFMC with other systems.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification is highly desirable.
