Do you excel at translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and leading documentation efforts for major tech initiatives? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in modernizing their technology stack for planned expansion and growth across North America. As a senior Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of our client's journey to evolve their SaaS-based platform. You will be responsible for leading the documentation of business needs and translating them into comprehensive specifications for development. You will also be a key driver in defining and refining existing documentation processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement to capture and document business requirements for new features and functions.
- Create and manage detailed documentation in Azure Dev Ops, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee test plans and strategies.
- Manage the user acceptance process.
- Analyze and map existing claims workflows to identify areas for modernization and improvement.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
- Collaborate closely with the Product & Scrum teams to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in leading the team to deliver projects to clients in an efficient and effective manner.
- Coordinate and participate in product design reviews and documentation reviews.
- Plan, prioritize, and work with IT to schedule resources and coordinate implementation with project teams to optimize quality and cost effectiveness.
- Serve as the key link between the business and technology teams, ensuring the final product meets the strategic goals of the organization.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within a technology team and ideally with Product Manager exposure as well.
- Extensive experience in the insurance industry, with an in-depth understanding of claims processes and workflows.
- Proven expertise in capturing business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and user stories.
- Advanced proficiency with Azure Dev Ops and HubSpot for project and documentation management and process tracking.
- Experience working with SaaS-based platforms and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong background in translating business needs into technical specifications.
