Job Description

Our client is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with a strong foundation in infrastructure and systems administration and a passion for automation and modernization. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in Windows, VMware, and Azure environments and has a strong automation-first mindset, with a particular focus on PowerShell scripting.

This role is perfect for a Senior Systems Engineer transitioning toward DevSecOps — someone operationally strong, automation-focused, and eager to grow within a high-visibility modernization initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring).
  • Administer and support Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory environments.
  • Support and maintain MDM / Intune policies and endpoint management solutions (or demonstrate willingness to learn).
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including RBAC, MFA, and Conditional Access.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate automation and compliance practices across the environment.
  • Develop scripts, templates, and documentation to streamline system deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to modernization initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and secure operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Administrator in enterprise environments.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation expertise (must-have).
  • Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Solid hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure; AWS exposure is an asset.
  • Strong grounding in Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory.
  • Basic experience with or eagerness to learn Intune / MDM management.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, RBAC, and security configuration best practices.
  • Awareness of compliance frameworks and security principles (e.g., MFA, Conditional Access).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
