Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright to support their growing production facility. Shift: Rotating 12 hour shift (Days and Nights)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues in breakdown situations.
- Conduct equipment installations and modifications, including full changeovers.
- Manage and requisition parts for the stock room to ensure readiness for routine and emergency maintenance.
- Support contractor coordination and oversight as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to complete assignments efficiently.
- Maintain proper records and documentation of maintenance work.
- Follow GMP, safety protocols, and regulatory standards in a food-grade manufacturing environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Qualifications
- Valid 442A or 433A Millwright Certification (or equivalent industrial maintenance ticket).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting; food industry experience is a strong asset.
- Skilled in welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Experience with boilers, refrigeration, and air handling systems is an asset.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and apply analytical thinking.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable and safety-focused with a strong attendance record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts, weekends, overtime, and on-call work if required.
