Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper/Payroll to join their accounting practice. This is a Direct Hire role.
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle bookkeeping and payroll for clients
- Preparation and analysis of financial reports, payroll and monthly payroll remittances
- Preparation of client bank reconciliations
- GST/HST, WSIB returns and electronic filing
- Maintain and prepare year-end documents for corporate filings
- Customer service to clients
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (public practice preferred)
- Ability to work 100% onsite
- Quickbooks and Sage proficiency
- A solid understanding of accounting principles
- Certified Bookkeeper, T1 and T2 is a plus
- Payroll certifications
- Excellent accuracy, communication and organizational skills
