Job Specifics
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Architect to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position within the United States. As a Technical Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing integrated IT systems within our FedRAMP Moderate compliant cloud hosting environment. You will leverage your deep understanding of AWS and Node.js to create scalable, secure, and robust solutions.

Responsibilities:

Architect and design integrated IT systems within a FedRAMP Moderate compliant cloud hosting environment, primarily leveraging AWS.
Lead the technical design and implementation of new features and enhancements to existing systems.
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing, security, and application development.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications:

A minimum of eight (8) years FTE experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
A minimum of five (5) years FTE experience as a Technical Lead on a complex IT project(s) with a Contract value of at least ten-million ($10M) providing services for cloud-based SaaS projects involving multiple databases, interfaces and network components.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) experience as a Technical Architect directly responsible for architecting integrated IT systems in a FedRAMP Moderate compliant cloud hosting environment
A minimum of three (3) years FTE experience designing application enhancements, forms, and workflows.
A minimum of three (3) years experience within the last seven (7) years in managing systems implementation activities, performing system capacity planning and maintenance roll-outs to multiple sites.
Must have defined and implemented logical and physical technical architectures on the cloud for at least one (1) IT project that utilized a similar infrastructure and cloud services as the proposed CalJOBS solution infrastructure. A similar infrastructure and cloud services are defined as including the following:
o High availability infrastructure such as clustering and load balancing environments.
o Design a scalable hosting solution that can accommodate increases or decreases in users and transactions rapidly.
o Utilizing real-time integration technologies/techniques.
o Reusing/integrating with existing enterprise applications and services
Demonstrated experience with FedRAMP compliance requirements and best practices.
Strong proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture.
Extensive experience with full-stack Node.js development.
Deep understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP).
