Job Description

Our client is seeking a Friction Engineer to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE role.‍‍

Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of advanced automotive friction materials tailored for bikes and e-bike brakes, ensuring optimal performance across diverse riding conditions
  • Select, evaluate and test sintered brake materials
  • Analyze components and optimize designs (FEA, CFD)
  • Support R&D, design and manufacturing teams to achieve standards and continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issuesInterpret and develop technical drawings‍
Qualifications:‍
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
  • 3+ years of automotive engineering experience with focus on brake systems and friction
  • Strong understanding of friction materials, testing, and analysis
  • Proficient with 2D & 3D CAD (Autodesk Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor, or similar)
  • Sintered friction experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of bicycle braking system design and performance characteristics (disc brakes, hydraulic systems)
  • Able to lead projects
  • Solid problem-solving skills and communication skills‍
