Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration products in North America. They are seeking a Chiller Design Engineer to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE role and an excellent long-term, career opportunity.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop chiller and pump packages for industrial and commercial applications
- Produce and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) for chiller designs
- Create detailed drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications using AutoCAD, Solid Edge
- Partner with production to troubleshoot and resolve design or other issues
- Support R&D initiatives
- Conduct testing for optimum performance and to make improvements
- Ensure standards are achieved
- Partner and communciate with onsite and remote teams
- Other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in chiller system design
- Extensive knowledge and experience with both 2D and 3D CAD
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and components and how to apply them
- In-depth understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
- MS Office and solid ability with various software
- Very good communication abilities
