Our federal government client is requesting support from a skilled and knowledgeable Senior Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to provide support related to Power and Control Systems, including guiding, assessing, and analyzing various types of equipment during both procurement and operational phases. Tasks:
- Offer guidance on design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment, including relevant standards, budget considerations, and both current and anticipated expansion requirements.
- Prepare technical documents or manuals on materials, covering guidelines for maintenance, storage, transportation, and disposal.
- Analyze electrical or electronic equipment issues, including failures, malfunctions, and performance degradation.
- Manage and organize activities involving the review and assessment of how electrical and electronic systems and equipment are installed, altered, tested, and put into use.
- Research emerging approaches, testing methods, and industry standards for evaluating electrical equipment in both field and lab environments.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A university undergraduate degree in an Engineering program
- At least 4 years of experience within the last 8 years applying electrical engineering knowledge to either offer expert guidance or develop engineering solutions for technical challenges involving power and control systems.
- A total of 4 years' experience within the past 8 years serving as the primary author of reports focused on the evaluation and testing of power and control systems.
