Business Analyst – SaaS Transformation Program
Location: New Westminster, BC (Hybrid – 2 days on-site/week)
Rate: $50–65/hr
Duration: 6-month contract with a possible extension
A major public-sector organization in Vancouver is undergoing a large-scale, multi-year transformation aimed at improving safety, risk, claims, and health management across the enterprise. They are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the design and implementation of a new SaaS-based solution as part of this transformation.
This project is to digitize and streamline Health & Safety processes using Cority EHS software, replacing legacy paper forms with user-friendly digital workflows.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented BA with strong communication skills and a background in enterprise-wide or SaaS implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and design new digital processes; compare and migrate from legacy workflows.
- Provide training and post-launch support onsite across multiple locations.
Produce detailed deliverables such as:
- Requirements Definition and Traceability Matrices
- Epics, Features, User Stories, and Use Cases
- As-Is and To-Be Process Maps
- Fit-Gap Analyses, RACI Matrices, SOPs
- Test Plans, UAT documentation, training contents
- Translate business needs into functional requirements for the SaaS vendor
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle
- Track decisions, maintain project documentation, and ensure alignment with goals
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst on transformation or enterprise-wide projects
- Business process improvement and process mapping (e.g., using Visio)
- Experience with digital transformation, digital forms, and workflow tools.
- Experienced in Test planning and execution
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Team player – will work with 3 other BAs (2 FTEs, 1 contractor)
- Technical mindset required; no coding needed, but must be comfortable with digital configuration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in:
- SaaS implementation projects
- Occupational Health & Safety, Risk, or Incident Management domains
- Transportation/public sector organizations
Familiarity with:
- Agile methodologies and Lean Six Sigma
- Organizational Change Management (OCM)
- Enterprise software implementation
- Professional certifications such as: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or PMP
