Job Description
Our government client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician specializing in Marine Occupational Health. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services to marine workers, ensuring their physical and mental well-being while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
- Remote
- 1 year contract + 4 option years (approx. 125 days per year)
- Reliability level of security clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations for marine personnel.
- Diagnose and treat occupational injuries and illnesses specific to the marine environment.
- Develop and implement health and safety programs tailored to marine operations.
- Advise on occupational health policies and workplace hazard prevention.
- Collaborate with marine organizations, regulatory bodies, government agencies and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a valid unrestricted medical license.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience providing patient medical care
- Extensive knowledge of international and/or domestic occupational health standards and industry best practices
- Minimum five (5) years of experience delivering marine occupational health medicine.
- Depth of experience providing consultative services to stakeholders, clients and partners.
