Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HR/Payroll IT Lead to manage and support our Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, for a 6 month remote contract. This role requires a combination of strong technical proficiency, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure system stability, timely project delivery, and data integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for system development, integration, upgrades, and ongoing support across all HCM modules in alignment with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the customer facing leader to lead the Lawson ERP team for HCM
  • 10 years IT experience supporting an ERP system, preferably for Lawson HCM
  • 5 years experience leading an IT team and collaborating with Network Services, the user community, and management teams
  • Must have professional developer program coding experience, team collaborations, project work, and Go Live migration experience
  • Must have technical knowledge of HCM components, how it is all integrated into other HCM modules, with Finance, external vendors, financial institutions, and government entities
  • Must have problem solving skills
  • Must be organized and able to adhere to schedules
  • Must be able to identify and acknowledge scope creep and how to minimize its impact
  • Must lead professional IT team, issue work assignments, prioritize, and know when a team member needs additional support to complete task in given timeline
  • Candidate must have excellent communications skills in verbal, writing, and have experience delivering presentations to support team, user community, and managers
  • Skilled in adhoc reporting for requests from management team
  • This HCM team must function with a very high level of confidentiality and a strong mind-set of data security

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience supporting enterprise ERP systems, preferably Lawson HCM.

  • 5+ years of experience leading IT teams, managing cross-functional collaborations, and delivering enterprise projects.

  • Strong development experience, including coding, testing, and deployment of ERP applications.

  • Deep technical understanding of HCM components and how they interact with payroll, benefits, time tracking, finance, and external entities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to track milestones and manage project risks.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences including technical staff and senior management.

  • Skilled in ad hoc reporting and data extraction using tools such as SQL, Crystal Reports, or Lawson-specific reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and a strong understanding of data privacy and security practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Infor/Lawson CloudSuite HCM.

  • Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Certifications in Project Management, HRIS, or ERP systems.
