Job Description

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting to join their team. This is a permanent role and is hybrid in Toronto.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and review Canadian and international financial accounting reports
• Maintain and reconcile Canadian and Japanese general ledgers for all products
• Coordinate and support internal/external audits and tax return preparations
• Manage regulatory reporting to OSFI and Bank of Canada via RRS
• Ensure strong internal financial controls and compliance with IFRS and Japanese GAAP
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and regions
• Lead or contribute to accounting initiatives and process improvements

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of work experience, including experience in a financial institution
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with Oracle General Ledger
• Ability to develop policies, controls, and performance metrics
• Canadian CPA designation
• University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Knowledge of foreign bank operations and wholesale lending practices is a strong asset
