Our financial services client is seeking a motivated Insurance Planning Associate to join their high-performing team in Vancouver, BC. This role is hybrid, requiring 2 days onsite at their office in Vancouver.
As an Insurance Planning Associate, you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing exceptional support to clients, Insurance Specialists, Wealth Advisors and Wealth Planning Associates in all insurance related matters. You’ll partner and work collaboratively with your colleagues on a variety of insurance cases including Life -Whole, Universal, Term, etc. and Living Benefits – Disability, Critical Illness, etc.
You prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline driven environment while always maintaining your professional demeanour.
Responsibilities:
- Support Insurance Specialists and Wealth Advisors with new policy applications and in-force policy updates and amendments.
- Prepare new applications, coordinate medical requirements, collaborate on Reason Why Letters, and client memos.
- Follow-up with clients and underwriting on outstanding case requirements.
- Support insurance planning activities through thorough analysis, drafting illustrations, and providing recommendations.
- Facilitate in-force policy changes and maintenance.
- Deliver a high level of personalized, end-to-end, service with rapid and solutions-based resolutions of queries.
- Facilitate Living Benefits claims.
- Escalate client concerns and complaints proactively.
- Create and maintain a catalogue of the most current insurance carrier forms and communication of requirement changes and communicate changes with the Advisory Services Team.
- Maintain commission spreadsheets ensuring up-to-date schedules are on file.
- Provide mentorship to team members to support their learning and development.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development to improve skills and knowledge.
- Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the organization change.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ related work experience in a client facing role with exposure to financial and insurance planning.
- Life License Qualification Program (LLQP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
