Job Description

One of our clients is looking to hire a Senior data analyst to lead projects and perform advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights to Senior Leadership, supporting strategic decisions within Merchandising. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy, leveraging their expertise to design and implement comprehensive validation strategies. The role requires a high level of analytical ability to dissect complex problems, a natural curiosity to pursue deeper questions, and proficiency in deriving conclusions through quantitative, qualitative, exploratory, and predictive data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Analytics Solutions Development
• Lead the development and delivery of analytics solutions.
• Build and validate model logic to ensure accurate outputs.
• Analyze and inspect data to inform design and decision-making.
• Construct data queries to support model development and maintenance.
• Data Validation and Quality Assurance
• Develop and implement robust data validation processes and protocols using SQL, R, Python, and Excel.
• Design and execute test scenarios to validate data transformation, migration, and integration processes.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
• Work with software engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Reporting and Communication
• Create and deliver regular reports, including validation findings, identified issues, and recommended solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in analytics management, business analysis, data analysis, or statistical analysis roles.
• Expertise in conducting analysis and data mining using SQL, R, Python, and Excel.
• 4+ years of experience with data extraction and processing using systems like BigQuery or SQL Server.
• Prior experience in relevant subject areas such as Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Operations.
