Job Title: Senior Business Development Representative – Canadian Market

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid/Remote Work Options Available)

Who We Are: We are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients, a rapidly growing logistics company expanding its operations to Canada. With nearly a decade of success across North America, our client specializes in delivering exceptional cross-border transportation and freight solutions between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. As they open their Toronto office, they are looking for a driven and dynamic individual to join their Canadian Business Development team and help take their growth to new heights.

Who We Want: We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Representative to join our client’s newly launched Canadian office. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of their Canadian team, working closely with key decision-makers across Canada to drive business growth in domestic and cross-border freight logistics. If you have a proven track record in freight sales and a passion for building relationships, this could be your chance to make a significant impact on a rapidly expanding business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect and acquire new clients: Focus on growing Mid-Market and Major accounts, with an emphasis on cross-border and domestic freight within Canada.
  • Master their offerings: Become an expert in our client’s logistics services, business model, customer solutions, and proprietary software to deliver value to clients.
  • Provide strategic solutions: Respond to inquiries with market insights, pricing strategies, capacity solutions, and tailored service offerings.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work closely with Client Success and Carrier Sales teams to expand accounts and ensure exceptional customer support.
  • Build strong relationships: Establish and nurture new relationships with key Canadian decision-makers.
  • Ongoing development: Continue to develop your sales skills through professional training and development to stay at the top of the logistics industry.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience in third-party logistics sales or a related field.
  • Prior experience in Canada domestic and/or cross-border freight is highly preferred.
  • Experience with multiple freight modes such as drayage, intermodal, LTL, and cross-border is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a high-performance sales environment.
  • A passion for sales, customer service, and problem-solving.

The Perks of Working With Us:

  • Competitive Compensation & Commission: We offer a competitive base salary and performance-based commission plan.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental coverage.
  • Retirement Savings Plan: We invest in your future with contributions to your retirement savings.
  • Employee Resource Groups: Build relationships and engage with our client’s diverse community.
  • Career Growth: Access to professional development and leadership training to help you reach new career heights.
  • Employee Recognition: Get recognized through our rewards programs.
  • Wellness: Prioritize your health with company-paid holidays, paid vacation, and wellness days.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Enjoy 100% paid parental leave when you become a new parent.
  • Team Culture: Participate in regular team outings and enjoy meals in the office.
  • Referral Program: Earn rewards by referring your friends to join our client’s team.
