Job Description

Our prominent client in the healthcare industry is seeking a Finance Coordinator to join their team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional with a background in accounting or finance, particularly in accounts receivable. The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for managing payment allocations, conducting internal investigations to ensure accurate deposits, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the proper allocation and use of funds.

• Location and Work Model: Hybrid – remote with one day on-site in Downtown Toronto
• Pay Rate: $21-22/hour
• Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday
• Contract Duration: 3 months

Responsibilities

• Oversee deposit allocations to ensure funds are accurately assigned to the correct departments or projects.
• Investigate payment details by coordinating with internal teams to confirm allocations.
• Collect and process required information to facilitate payment transactions.
• Identify missing documentation and follow up with internal departments to obtain necessary details.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Communicate with internal departments to clarify and explain fund usage.
• Handle additional finance-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in accounts receivable or other finance and accounting functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• High attention to detail and the ability to handle a large volume of transactions.
