Human Resources Assistant (Temporary Contract)
Are you passionate about supporting HR processes in a dynamic and non-partisan setting? Our provincial client is looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven individual to assist with a variety of human resources functions on a temporary contract basis.
What You’ll Be Doing: As a key member of the HR team, you will report directly to the HR Manager and be responsible for:
- Supporting the recruitment process by offering guidance to hiring managers, drafting job ads, and coordinating interview schedules.
- Assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring smooth transitions for all parties.
- Ensuring that all competition documents are thorough, complete, and in compliance.
- Contributing to the review and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and communications.
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of overtime and on-call reports for payroll processing.
- Providing general administrative support for various HR functions as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources.
- Familiarity with HR functions, particularly in recruitment, selection, and administrative support.
- Knowledge of HR regulations, policies, and relevant employment laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service focus.
- Problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
