Our federal government defence client is requesting a Integrated Logistic Support Specialist (ILS) to support the management and technical process through which supportability and logistic support considerations are integrated into the design and considered throughout the life cycle of systems/equipment and by which all elements of logistic support are planned, acquired, tested and provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Tasks:
Collect, review, and analyze technical information associated to imaging-related equipment that is being considered for procurement and distribution to imaging sections and make recommendations regarding procurement;
Prepare draft versions of procurement documents for the Technical Authority approval. The main documentation involved are Procurement Orders, Procurement Requests, Equipment Entitlement Notifications, Technical Notes or Instructions, Requests for Quotations, Sole Source documents, No Substitute documents, and recommend Invoice Certifications for procurement and repair work carried out. There is no set temporal frequency for these tasks, and must be completed on an ongoing, as-required basis, but ultimately limited fiscally by the yearly budget plan;
Prepare draft versions, for the Technical Authority, of Statements of Work (SOWs) as required. SOWs are required for procurement of several replacement/maintenance items. For all procurements of imaging-related equipment necessitating submission to PSPC, SOW preparation is also required. Lastly, SOWs must be prepared for establishing new equipment repair, maintenance, and overhaul contracts, as well as for renewing these contracts within six months of expiration of current contracts;
Support the supply item manager in resolving LCMM supply issues with the field units, such as the management of stock/assets, and the disposal of imaging equipment; and
Provide any advice/recommendations to the Technical Authority and/or supply item manager concerning supply related concepts; including but not limited to procurement, equipment allocations and disposal.
Experience and Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
3 years of experience working in supply, inventory management, and materiel identification
3 years of experience working with an enterprise-level supply management system such as SAP
2 years of experience in conducting procurement related activities.
