Job Description

"We are seeking a Financial Analyst in Ottawa for a 3-month contract with a client in the non-profit sector, with the potential for extension based on project needs. The successful candidate will be required to work in a hybrid setting, with 2 days per week on-site.

 

This role will involve providing financial analysis, reporting, and support across various functions within the organization. The Financial Analyst will prepare financial reports, conduct variance analysis, and assist with budgeting and costing activities. Additionally, the role will support key financial processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with the organization’s financial objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct variance analysis and assist with budgeting and costing activities.
  • Support key financial processes to ensure alignment with the organization’s financial objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar finance role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks.
