Job Description

Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of multiple Procurement Coordinators for a 6 month contract term. This position is working in a hybrid capacity, working 3 days a week on site out of their Downtown Toronto location. Successful candidates should hold experience with coordination of procurement functions and in support of the procurement and contract management team. They will provide strong service to clients using enterprise level agreements and will be responsible for the below responsibilities:  

  • Advising clients, identifying their needs, leading projects, and preparing materials necessary for the second stage of procurement processes.
  • Overseeing client and vendor relationships, including the administration of RFS, contracts, agreements, and statements of work, as well as addressing any issues that arise during these processes.
  • Developing second-stage procurement documents and facilitating interactions with vendors.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in procurement principles and processes to create appropriate materials and handle related tasks for a diverse client base.
  • Strong relationship management skills, particularly in complex and dynamic settings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, especially when handling high volumes of requests.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities to streamline procurement requests.
  • Team collaboration skills, with the ability to use diplomacy and tact to resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills to advise clients, address inquiries, ensure fair and transparent procurement practices, and liaise with vendors.

  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Promptly report any significant issues or concerns to management.
  • Adhere to all applicable policies, directives, best practices, and standards.
  • Share knowledge and skills with designated staff as needed.To ensure effective consultation, coordination, and support in procurement and contract management while delivering excellent service to clients using enterprise-level vendor agreements. Team members in this role are responsible for:
