Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer for our public sector client located in Burnaby, BC.
This is a fulltime permanent position with a hybrid working model.
In this position you will be leading the competitive and complex sourcing initiatives for high profile procurement.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide expert procurement advice, guidance, and recommendations to meet business needs and objectives
- Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders
- Act as main point of contact for internal clients
- Work closely with various teams to ensure alignment of business and procurement needs are met to achieve positive business outcomes
- Analyze procurement requirements and determine best strategy based on established practices, policies, and procedures
- Lead the competitive public procurement process for large scale, high profile, and complex sourcing initiatives
- Manage all sourcing activities in sourcing portfolios
- Plan, organize, and lead the RFX process including drafting and issuing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
- Guide and advise in the development of the evaluation criteria
- Analyze, negotiate, and prepare simple and complex contractual agreements and framework agreements
Qualifications and Experience - Minimum 5 years procurement experience within the public sector
- Strong knowledge of the BPS Procurement Directive
- Excellent communication skills
- SCMP designation an asset
