We are currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer for our public sector client located in Burnaby, BC.

This is a fulltime permanent position with a hybrid working model. 

In this position you will be leading the competitive and complex sourcing initiatives for high profile procurement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide expert procurement advice, guidance, and recommendations to meet business needs and objectives
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders
  • Act as main point of contact for internal clients
  • Work closely with various teams to ensure alignment of business and procurement needs are met to achieve positive business outcomes
  • Analyze procurement requirements and determine best strategy based on established practices, policies, and procedures
  • Lead the competitive public procurement process for large scale, high profile, and complex sourcing initiatives
  • Manage all sourcing activities in sourcing portfolios
  • Plan, organize, and lead the RFX process including drafting and issuing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
  • Guide and advise in the development of the evaluation criteria
  • Analyze, negotiate, and prepare simple and complex contractual agreements and framework agreements
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years procurement experience within the public sector
  • Strong knowledge of the BPS Procurement Directive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • SCMP designation an asset
