Job Description
One of our top clients in the Real Estate industry is seeking a Revenue Coordinator to join their team! This is a hybrid role based out of Downtown Toronto, offering many growth opportunities.
As a Revenue Coordinator, your role is pivotal in maintaining accurate client account records and regularly communicating account status to prevent delinquency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely rent collection and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with Legal on tenant defaults, litigation, and bankruptcy cases.
- Maintain detailed records of delinquent accounts, preparing statements, reports, and claims documentation.
- Analyze monthly rent performance and update receivables reports with categorized outstanding amounts.
- Manage rent roll and related charges per lease agreements in financial systems.
- Process client billings, rental notices, and parking income promptly to minimize outstanding balances.
- Verify lease data, prepare correspondence, and maintain client relationships to address billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Enter and review monthly sales data, follow up on missing reports, and analyze sales trends for variances.
- Record utility consumption, perform recovery reconciliations, and analyze usage patterns.
- Lead monthly AR meetings to track progress on action items with property management teams.
- Reconcile leasing and storage contracts, manage recovery rate adjustments, and distribute annual client packages.
- Process miscellaneous service charges and reconcile balance sheet accounts for quarterly reporting.
- Support system enhancements and platform implementation as required.
- Foster strong tenant relationships to ensure timely payments and proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- College or University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounting or Billings position
- Experience in Real Estate and/or Property Management
- Good understanding of accounting principles, leases, and related documentation
