Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Financial Accounts Coordinator to join our client in the healthcare industry on a contract basis. This would be starting on an 11-week contract with the potential to extend to 6 months. This is working in a fully remote environment within the GTA.

This is a niche role combining expertise in finance and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, inventory process experience, and the ability to navigate various aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor relations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management:
    • Manage monthly inventory counts and reconciliations, ensuring balances align with sold and purchased items.
    • Oversee cycle counts and identify inventory shortages.
    • Process purchase orders and track inventory levels in collaboration with vendors.
  2. Financial Accounting:
    • Perform vendor statement reconciliations, ensuring accurate accounts payable and receivable.
    • Execute journal entries, accruals, and other reconciliation processes.
    • Handle accounts payable corrections and manage vendor accounts.
  3. Order Processing and Customer Interactions:
    • Create sales orders and quotes for customers.
    • Coordinate with vendors to confirm purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
    • Utilize Sage 100 or similar systems to manage accounting and inventory data effectively.

What You Bring

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in:
    • Vendor statement reconciliation.
    • Placing purchase orders with vendors and managing accounts payable.
    • Handling customer sales orders, including creating quotes and invoices.
    • Inventory management, including monthly reconciliations and cycle counts.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 100, QuickBooks, or Simpli Accounting).
  • Strong skills in MS Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Outlook, and PDF tools like Adobe or Nitro.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in manufacturing or healthcare industries.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and related processes.
