Job Description

We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Web Developer to join their team remotely for a contract until March 31st, 2026!

Our client is seeking a Web Developer to provide technical expertise related to data transformation and web development to support the enhancement and evolution of their services.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications
  • Coding using Agile development methodologies;
  • Coding HTML/CSS/JavaScript websites and components;
  • Writing Object Oriented Programming in PHP and Python;
  • Writing MySQL database queries;
  • Developing data visualizations with Python;
  • Creating docker image using docker compose;
  • Using source code version control such as, but not limited to, Git;
  • Configuring and developing Content Management System (CMS) extensions, modules and addons;
  • Designing and developing client-centric website functionalities to optimize usability and accessibility for every client and on any device;
  • Applying usability and web accessibility standards and best practices;
  • Developing, testing and supporting web widgets
  • Writing Unit testing
  • Writing RESTful and GraphQL Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); to other web services
  • Performing Frontend development using Vue, React, Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks;
  • Responding to issues raised through the support desk;
  • Other technical services as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of professional work experience as a Web Developer in an IM/IT environment.
  • Minimum 8 years in the last 12 years performing Object Oriented programming in PHP and Python.
  • Minimum 8 years in the last 12 years developing client-centric website functionality to optimize usability and accessibility.
  • Experience coding HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience using source code version control such as, but not limited to, Git.
  • Experience developing RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and GraphQL.
  • Experience in frontend development using Vue, React, Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience configuring and developing Content Management System (CMS) extensions, modules and/or add-ons.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in MySQL database queries.
