Job Description

Position: Maximo Asset Management Data Analyst
Level: Intermediate
Contract Term: March 3, 2025 – February 27, 2026 (with potential extension)
Work Model: Hybrid (minimum two days per week onsite; additional onsite work with 24-hour notice)
Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week, 1-hour lunch break

Scope and Objective of Assignment

The Maximo Project Team seeks to enhance its capacity with an experienced Maximo Asset Management Data Analyst. The successful candidate will manage data for live business units and future implementations. This role may require the completion of Peel Regional Police contractor background screening.

Deliverables and Responsibilities

  1. Data Management and Quality
  • Manage and maintain asset-related data in Maximo, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, validations, and data cleansing to ensure data integrity.
  1. Implementation and Configuration
  • Collaborate with teams to configure asset management workflows, data structures, and integration points.
  • Support data migration from legacy systems to Maximo, ensuring a seamless transition.
  1. Analysis and Reporting
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and insights using Maximo tools to support decision-making.
  • Analyze asset performance data and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
  1. Support and Training
  • Provide end-user support for Maximo data-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies.
  • Deliver training on data entry, usage, and reporting best practices.
  1. Integration and Collaboration
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate Maximo with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, GIS, IoT).
  • Support initiatives requiring Maximo expertise, including upgrades and system enhancements.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of IBM Maximo experience in data management or asset management roles.
  • Proven expertise in data analysis, reporting, and database management (SQL preferred).
  • Familiarity with Maximo modules such as Asset, Work Order, and Inventory Management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
    • Proficiency in Maximo configuration, data import/export tools, and automation scripts.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Mandatory Certification

  • IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo Asset Management

Nice-to-Have Certification

  • ITIL Certification or equivalent

Additional Notes

Proposed resources must demonstrate significant experience with IBM Maximo applications and the environments in which they are deployed. Knowledge of process redesign, change management, web-based services, enterprise-wide project management, knowledge transfer techniques, and training is also essential.
