Our client is currenlty looking for Recruiters to join their team on a contract basis. This role is hybrid, 2 days onsite in Whitby.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiter will play a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's talent pool. This position involves developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, tools, and procedures to attract top talent while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, legislation, and collective agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement recruitment and selection tools and procedures, including pre-screening methods, assessments, interview questions, and active participation in interviews.
- Advise and support management on recruitment and selection processes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, legislation, and collective agreements.
- Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and information sessions on various HR-related topics.
- Analyze recruitment trends, monitor challenges in selection and retention, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Address general HR inquiries, offering guidance on job competition processes, resume writing, interview preparation, and post-interview feedback.
- Recommend and contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies and procedures to meet organizational and client needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, ideally within a unionized environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably PeopleSoft/Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, collective agreements, and employment legislation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a commitment to sourcing exceptional candidates.
- Effective presentation skills and creative problem-solving abilities, particularly in conflict resolution and overcoming challenges.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
