Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a PowerApps Developer for a six-month contract, with possible extension. This is a hybrid position, working 2-3 days in the office in Brampton, GTA.

Project Context:

Our client is undertaking a modernization initiative to consolidate and migrate four Access Database solutions and an existing PowerApp solution into a single Power Platform solution. This integrated system will support mobile functionality and include key applications such as Superintendent Shift Reports, Call Quality Reviews, Major Call Briefs, and Hazard Flags. Additionally, the project will integrate an existing PowerApp (Duty Roster) and feature a Workbench application for easy navigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop PowerApps solutions for priority use cases and integrate them into a unified platform.
  • Migrate the existing Duty Roster PowerApp into the consolidated solution.
  • Design and implement a Workbench application to serve as a launcher for all use cases.
  • Produce a final working solution with detailed technical documentation.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for SMEs after project iterations.
  • Facilitate technical hand-over sessions with the Region’s IT team.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of experience in PowerApps development.
  • Expertise in PowerApps, Dataverse, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, and PowerShell.
  • Proficiency in building PowerApps and solutions using Dataverse and SharePoint Online.
  • Strong skills in Power BI, including dashboard creation for solution reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to document client requirements effectively.
  • Proven experience in analyzing existing solutions and developing complete solution architectures.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification (mandatory).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with mobile-friendly application design and implementation.
  • Prior experience working on public sector projects.
