Our reputable client in the printing services industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion into the architectural and decor market. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and establishing our presence in this sector.
This is a permanent, full-time role based out of their Burlington office (role is hybrid).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate the architectural and decor market, focusing on commercial interior and hotel expansion projects.
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the sector, cultivating relationships with architects, designers, decorators, and key decision-makers.
- Drive sales by presenting our range of products, including wall coverings, signage, and other architectural materials, effectively communicating their features and benefits.
- Collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure seamless execution of projects, from concept to completion.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights to inform our business strategy.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients, negotiating terms and closing deals.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, effectively managing the sales cycle from lead generation to conversion.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions, promoting our brand and establishing our credibility in the market.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials to support sales efforts.
- Collaborate with senior management to set realistic sales targets and objectives, tracking performance against KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in business development, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales within the architectural, design, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction processes, and materials.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, designers, contractors, and project managers.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Highly motivated and self-driven, with a passion for driving business growth and achieving excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
