Altis Recruitment is proud to be partnered with a well-known public service organization in the recruitment of a Facility & Infrastructure procurement professional.

In this role, the successful candidate will conducts procurement activities to secure goods and services at the lowest possible cost, while maintaining quality and adherence to timelines. Ensures compliance with procurement policies, procedures, industry best practices, and professional standards. Provides expertise in handling complex contracts for major commodities, services, and infrastructure projects.

This role will operate on a hybrid model with 3 days a week on site in North York (400 & Sheppard area). This is a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the entire procurement lifecycle for Facility & Infrastructure related goods and services, including:
    • Developing procurement documents
    • Issuing tenders
    • Evaluating bids
    • Awarding contracts
    • Liaising with external vendors and internal clients
  • Coordinates the public tendering process, including preparing advertisements, issuing addenda, and developing tender/proposal documentation.
  • Maintains qualified vendor lists and negotiates pricing with suppliers.
  • Prepares purchase orders, contract amendments, and other procurement documents.
  • Expedites deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with procurement policies and procedures, as well as authorization and expenditure guidelines.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of procurement practices and procedures within the organization.
  • Promotes a positive and inclusive work environment, treating all individuals with respect and dignity.

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in public procurement.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
