Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), ON

Position Overview:

In this influential role, you will direct a team dedicated to managing significant contracts and cultivating partnerships that are integral to our client’s strategic goals. You will establish robust frameworks for contract negotiation and risk management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless contract administration and effective mitigation of potential risks. Additionally, you will shape and guide procurement strategies to optimize value and performance across key agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Vision: Provide strategic direction and oversight to a team managing high-value negotiations, contract amendments, and critical partnerships that support the organization’s mission.
  • Risk Management: Partner with key stakeholders to develop proactive risk management plans and refine contract terms, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client expectations.
  • Negotiation & Partnership Development: Serve as the primary negotiator on client and vendor agreements, integrating insights from legal and operational teams to drive balanced, compliant, and advantageous contracts.
  • Performance Optimization: Oversee the financial and operational aspects of contracts, collaborating with finance and project teams to ensure precision, resolve disputes efficiently, and identify opportunities for cost-effectiveness.
  • Talent Development: Actively mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous growth and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; advanced credentials in law, finance, or contract management are preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in contract management or partnership development, ideally within a regulated industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract negotiation, procurement processes, and partnership strategy.
