Job Description
Our federal government client is seeking a Senior Material Management Consultant to support on a part time contract to October 2025.
Scope of work:
- Perform DRMIS actions and assist in the creation of required information (i.e. stock codes, NSNs, MMRs, etc.) for any procurement file;
- Liaise with clients in a timely and professional manner to obtain the required information for their procurement requests;
- Conduct analysis of client requirements and provide recommendations on courses of actions to best meet client needs;
- Liaise with the ADM(IM) contracting authority to ensure that all the required information for their procurement processing is provided;
- Track and update procurement tracking excel sheets, PST, and network files in full for all ongoing procurements files;
- Provide updates to both the clients and management on procurement file status, any causes of delays, and required actions to move the file forward;
- Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to procurement processing SOPs to enable continual improvement on how to process procurement files more effectively;
- Participate in the collaborative review and discussion of internal procurement processes;
- Participate in courses for continual learning and development of professional skills;
- Respectfully educate client on procurement processing procedures and manage client expectations on equipment delivery timeline;
- Adapt to any job function or SOP changes as advised by management; and
- Other section duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Top Secret clearance
- 5 years of experience performing procurement and life cycle material management activities
- 5 years of experience supporting classified infrastructure in an operational environment having 5,000+ users
