Job Opportunity: Cost Analyst (Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, covering key metrics such as costing, inventory, yields, labor, and expenses, ensuring alignment with company policies and GAAP standards.
• Oversee the new product setup process within ERP systems, including reporting and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with plant management to identify improvement opportunities through detailed analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, including discrepancies related to finished goods, raw materials, and products.
• Complete production-related journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and support month-end closing activities.
• Participate in product and raw material counts and audits, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard instructions, and product costings within the ERP system.
• Provide backup support for the finance team and contribute to various ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance, with active pursuit of a CPA designation.
• At least 2 years of cost accounting and reconciliation experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with financial and operational ERP systems (AS400 experience is an asset).
• Advanced analytical skills, with strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data linkage).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
