Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized mobile shredding equipment and truck-mounted systems, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join their growing team in Statesville, North Carolina.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with tools, assembling equipment, and interpreting technical drawings. The successful candidate will contribute to building reliable truck bodies and mechanical equipment while maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble truck bodies, equipment, and various mechanical components.
- Measure, align, drill, bolt, screw, and rivet components according to specifications.
- Assemble mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including hydraulic hose assemblies.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform quality checks and sign off on completed tasks.
- Track job time and complete daily timecards accurately.
- Assist with equipment servicing, repairs, and other projects as assigned by the Shop Foreman.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, hammers, levels, and tape measures.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with mechanical and hydraulic equipment assembly is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a shop environment.
- Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
