Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper/Payroll to join their accounting practice. This is a Direct Hire role with potential for growth in the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle bookkeeping and payroll for various clients and industries
- Preparation and analysis of financial reports, payroll and monthly payroll remittances
- Preparation of client bank reconciliations
- GST/HST, WSIB returns and electronic filing
- Maintain and prepare year-end documents for corporate filings
- Customer service to clients
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have 2+ years' bookkeeping experience in a public accounting practice
- Able to work 100% onsite
- Quickbooks and QBO experience is required
- Must have a solid grasp of accounting principles
- Excellent accuracy, communication and organizational skills
- Assets: Sage, Certified Bookkeeper, T1 and T2 experience, Payroll experience/certifications
