Job Description

Our client is hiring a General Manager to lead and scale a growing Service Division for a Canada-wide industrial solutions provider. This is a direct hire, full-time opportunity for a results-driven leader with a sharp focus on profitability, operational excellence, and strategic growth.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership & Strategic Growth

  • Develop and execute aggressive growth strategies to scale and optimize the Service Division in line with company goals.
  • Own full P&L responsibility, focusing on achieving and surpassing revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead and restructure the service team to ensure top performance, aligning talent with business objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentorship, and results-driven leadership.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Track and exceed KPIs including productivity, on-time delivery, and service profitability.
  • Leverage data to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation.

Customer & Business Development

  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention by delivering value and maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Actively engage with clients and stakeholders to identify new opportunities and grow market share.
  • Work with business development teams to expand service offerings and develop new revenue channels.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and operational reports aligned with financial goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth operations and maximize efficiency across departments.


What You Bring:

  • Diploma in a related field with 9–12 years of experience in service operations.
  • Proven track record in driving profitability and efficiency in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong background in industrial or technical services (e.g., pumps, rotating equipment).
  • Skilled in team leadership, P&L management, and strategic growth execution.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and results-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Confident, energetic, and able to motivate teams and influence stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel (Laval, Edmonton, and client sites)
