Job Description
Our client is seeking an Assurance Manager to join their growing company. This is a Direct Hire position.Responsibilities:
- Review and amend client Review/Compilation Engagement documents (working papers, financials, tax returns, etc)
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance on Review/Compilation working papers
- Participate in client final meetings for Review/Compilation Engagements
- Prepare and review large Audit Engagements
- Supervise audit in-charges and monitor budget/deadlines
- Ensure audit compliance with firm standards Present audit findings to clients, etc.
- Identify tax planning opportunities
- Review corporate tax filings (T4s, T5s, etc)
- Resolve outstanding queries before senior review
- Assist with client billings
- Delegate and supervise junior staff tasks
- Coach and evaluate staff
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or equivalent
- 2+ years post-CPA public accounting experience
- Supervisory experience
- CPA designation
- Strong GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, CAS, CIS, and Canadian tax knowledge
- CaseWare and TaxPrep
