Job Description

Our client is seeking a qualified Accounting Technician to join their organization. This is a Direct Hire role.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Compilation engagement files and financial statements
• Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax returns
• Account reconciliations
• Preparation of HST, T4, and T5 returns

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Caseware, Excel, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Simply and personal and corporate tax software.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong understanding of basic to intermediate tax principles is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' work experience in a public accounting firm preparing complete year end files including corporation tax returns is required.
• Can do notice to readers and corporate tax returns at a reasonably high level.
• Able to prioritize to manage various workload demands.
• Post secondary education in accounting.
